Floating bridge for a dam
Our teams from Laos, China, France and Canada have organised the transportation of many pieces for the construction of one of the biggest dams in the world in Laos (Nam Theun 2 - EDF) for the account of different customers taking part in the construction of the structure. One of these transports concerned 4 spherical valves in several parts carried by sea between China and Bangkok and then by road to be delivered on site. The biggest part of the valve weighing more than 100 tons, measuring more than 5 meters long and 4 meters large required the setting up of exceptional means like the construction of a floating bridge organised and managed by our team from Laos thanks to the technical means of the military engineering of the Lao army. The commissioning of the dam is planned for the end of 2009.

Settling an access from the main road to the river on each side.
Setting up of sand bags at the bottom of the river and of the floating bridge.
